Dalmation Adoption - Shelters and Rescue Organizations

Dalmation Adoption - If you've decided that a Dalmation is the dog for you --- or you've decided that you would "consider" this breed...then you may want to investigate sources for rescue dogs.

Dalmation Adoptions are perhaps more frequent than for other breeds - because Dalmations are prone to hearing loss.

Also, the fact that they are a big, boisterous dog, causes some people to "give up" their Dalmation for Adoption. It's just "too much" for some people to handle.

Dalmations are good choices for active people and active families. Dalmations, orginally, were "carriage dogs", meaning they trotted along side of the horses to protect carriages.

If you're a jogger - a Dalmation may be the perfect dog for you.

For too long, Dalmations were selected only because they are "cute". Yes, they are cute, but they are large dogs. Few things are more frustrating than trying to handle a large dog that is improperly trained.
